Method 1 – Using FL Studio Edison
The 1st method involves the use of FL Studio Edison, Follow these simple steps to find the key using Edison.
Step 1 – Load the beat in Edison
Step 2 – Right click on the window, select Tools>Convert to score, and dump to the piano roll. This will break the melody or beat into small pitch snippets, convert to respective notes and load them into the selected channel.
Step 3 – Now you can analyze the notes used in the beat and find the key. If you don’t know music theory, you can use the ghost notes in FL Studio Piano Roll.
You can also convert the audio to keys using the FL Studio Newtone. Simply load the sample in Newtone, go to tools, and export the audio file as midi. You can now use this midi in the piano roll.
